Using Blogs in Travel Planing

Using Blogs in Travel Planing

I don’t know about you but it never fails to get me all giddy and excited after I’ve made the first concrete steps in planning a trip. Sure, just thinking about going somewhere, even surfing around the web for possibilities already gets me hyped up, but when I’ve actually made the first tangible step — a reservation, whether for a plane ticket or accommodation –that’s when the adrenaline starts pumping. And it won’t stop until I’ve set foot on my destination!
And that’s how I’ve felt since I made the flight booking to Bohol 2 days ago. I’m scouring the web …read more

Vote for Let’s Visit Asia at the Travvies Awards!

Woohoo! Let’s Visit Asia made it to the finals of the 2007 Travvies Travel Blog Awards! I am just so tickled and honored, considering who the judges were.
Now it’s up to you, readers, to cast your votes. This blog is up among 4 other well-deserving blogs (Europe String, JohnnyJet, Newyorkology and Yucatan Living). I really wouldn’t mind losing, particularly to Melissa of Europe String whose blog is also housed by b5media.
Well, ’nuff said! If you think this blog’s worth the award for the BEST DESTINATION BLOG, cast your votes here! I’d really appreciate the click right beside Let’s Visit Asia …read more

Carnival of (Asian) Cities

Here on my part of the sky, we’re in the thick of Carneval season. But that’s not the carnival I’,m talking about. Enjoy the rest of the entries on the maiden issue of the Carnival of Cities around the world, hosted this week at Home Turf …read more

Added to Let’s Visit Asia Blogroll: South Korea Hotels

Added to Let’s Visit Asia Blogroll: South Korea Hotels

I just came across South Korea Hotels, a blog on– you guessed it– hotels and travel tips about South Korea. It seems to be just a collection of travel articles that have been previously published elsewhere, but at least, if you’re travelling in the region, the blog may be a helpful resource for you. For off line reading, check out Moon Handbooks South Korea (Moon Handbooks’ South Korea), which has received generally good reviews from Amazon customers. One reviewer says it’s even better than Lonely Planet Korea.
