Tickets are about S$29.50 for adults, with discounted rates for kids and seniors. There’s an express boarding rate (see the list of admission prices) that allows you to bypass […]

Forget cabs, trams, and tour buses. They say that the best way to get to know a place is if you explore it by foot. And I agree. It can be exhausting, but I think the slower the pace, the more impressions you gather. Plus, you get to see places and scenes you would never […]

What happens when 40,000 visitors go to an event that’s so unorganized it seems they were only prepared to handle 10%, if at all?
That’s what happened during the first day the Singapore Airshow opened to the public last Saturday, February 23. From getting there to getting out of there, it was a complete mayhem, it […]

We’ve got tickets to the Singapore Airshow 2008! I’m not really that keen on the aviation exhibits, but me and my son are looking forward to the Aerobatics Flying Displays.
Aerobatics, sorely missed at the 2006 air show in Singapore, will make a comeback with at least two displays at Singapore Airshow 2008, including one by […]

Hong Kong International Airport topped the 2007 World Airport Survey conducted by Skytrax, while Seoul Incheon and Singapore Changi airports share the second spot.
I bet that with the opening of its newly opened multimillion dollar Terminal 3, Changi airport may snatch that top spot in the next round!

As I’ve said in my previous post, the next big even here in Asia is the Chinese New Year, which will fall on February 07-08, 2008. I hate to say it, but if you haven’t booked your flights and accommodations yet, it might already be a bit too late for the best deals. Expect hotel […]

As the year comes to a close, I reflect on all the traveling and touring and sightseeing I’ve done the past year– be it for real or virtual (online, print, or television)– and I realize that nothing can top the one-way trip we made as a family this year from Europe to Asia.
It has been […]

Yup, you read it right: free flights! Excluding taxes and charges, of course.
You’d have to book your travel quickly, though (offer runs until Dec 19, 2007) for travel up to 31 March 2008. Most flights are to/from Singapore.
Perfect as a last minute Christmas gift!
