Singapore Airlines and SilkAir’s Zonal Concept for Excess Baggages

by Ruth on April 4th, 2008

Starting this month, passengers of Singapore Airlines and Silk Air with baggages in excess of their allowance can now have an idea how much charges they will incur even prior to checking in.

Currently, customers are charged 1.5 percent of the highest one-way Published Economy fare for each excess kg. With the new excess baggage policy, excess baggage charges will be levied across a zonal system, based on the originating region and the disembarking region.
