Along the Ilocos Region of the Philippines

In a few weeks, we’re off to a 2-week holiday to the Philippines. Initially, we thought of taking a domestic flight to one of the southern islands perhap Boracay, Bohol or even Davao– but in the end decided to explore North Luzon instead. I hope the temperatures are still cool over in Baguio, and from there we’re planning to drive along the west coast through the Ilocos Region up to Pagudpud, the northernmost tip of the island, said to be the Boracay of the North, minus the party-life.

Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte

Am still on the look-out for places where we can make stop-overs, possibly for an overnight stay, as the drive is quite long. Besides it would be a pity to just drive through considering how scenic and culturally-rich this region is. Any suggestions?
