Koh Chang, Thailand
When I first read that the Dusit chain of hotels opened its first resort hotel in Koh Chang, I was like, “Huh?! Where is Koh Chang?!?” I know that koh means “island and chang means “elephant”, but I have never heard of an Elephant Island in Thailand.
Apparently, the island is located 225 km southeast of Bangkok and is Thailand’s second-largest island, next to Phuket. Wikitravel and this website has more info on Ko Chang.
Hm, it seems like the island is gaining popularity among tourists if more upscale hotels are being built on the island.
