Let\’s Visit Asia

Chinese New Year 2008

by Ruth on January 2nd, 2008

As I’ve said in my previous post, the next big even here in Asia is the Chinese New Year, which will fall on February 07-08, 2008. I hate to say it, but if you haven’t booked your flights and accommodations yet, it might already be a bit too late for the best deals. Expect hotel rates to be a bit pricier during this period, as it’s considered to be peak season.

Where to go? You’re bound to witness spectacular CNY-festivities in Hong Kong, China, Macau, and Singapore. On the other hand, I can imagine that a lot of people will use the long weekend (Feb 7 falls on a Thursday, so that’s a 4-day holiday) not necessarily to participate in CNY celebrations, but perhaps for other sightseeing tours or a rejuvenating beach holiday.
