Welcome 2008 and Asian New Year Festivals
Happy New Year, everyone! I hope everyone started off real great into 2008 and had a blast (figuratively speaking, of course) wherever in the world you spent New Year’s Eve.
Over here in my part of the sky, there wasn’t much hoopla, although we did witness some awesome fireworks organized by the city.Of course, for a lot of folks over here in Asia, although the calendar year has turned, the New Year festivities ain’t til several weeks from now. The Chinese New Year for 2008 will fall on February 7-8, while in Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, and some parts of China and India, the big festival won’t be til April 13-15.
So come over and visit us here in Asia for more merrymaking New Year festivals!
