Time is Gold

Time.

That’s what you need when you’re traveling on a budget. We’ve made a last-minute plan to spend Christmas in the Philippines. Really, it’s not last-minute, with more than two months to go, but in the budget traveling scene, this is way too late to be booking flights and such for the Christmas season. After all, this period is considered to be a peak travel season in Asia, second only to the summer months of July and August. I’ve checked the airfares from five different airlines flying to Manila, and now I’m kicking myself because not only are the airfares way higher than usual, my preferred travel dates  are also now all fully booked. Arrgh!

Have you made travel plans for the Christmas holidays yet? If not, hurry, you’re running out of time!
