Agrotourism and Farm Holidays in Taiwan

Dong Li FarmEven in metropolitan Taiwan, you could enjoy a laid-back, farm-holiday. In fact, Taiwan’s agrotourism itineraries are gaining popularity among international visitors from neighboring (equally busy) Asian cities such as Hong Kong, Singapore, and Malaysia.

If you’re thinking of going on a daytrip to a “farm in the city”, here’s an article which might help you put plan your trip, complete with addresses and getting-there directions to a number of farms you might want to consider.

As it turns out, one doesn’t actually have to go far to get close to nature, thanks to an abundance of themed farms–located right in the city–that provide the rural settings that city people dream about. These farm resorts, scattered in different corners of the concrete jungle, each offers its own unique activities, such as tubing in shallow ponds, going frogging, making bread, playing with clay, building scarecrows and kilns and other activities that kids and adults alike love.

Ahhh, sounds idyllic, doesn’t it? A perfect educational excursion for kids!
