Ngong Ping 360 Suspended
Starting June 12, 2007, the Ngong Ping Cable Car Service has been suspended, after an empty car cabin broke free and fell 50 meters down. The Skyrail just opened last Novermber 2006, but apparently, it has been since ridden with a number of technical difficulties.
If you’re headed to Hong Kong any time soon, don’t despair; there are other attractions on Lantau Island, such as the Giant Buddha, Wisdom Path and Ngong Ping Village, which remains open as normal.
