Travel Advice On Thailand

Considering the bombings that occurred in Bangkok during New Year’s Eve, the Australian government has issued a travel advice for travel to Thailand, particularly to Bangkok.

Basically, it says that there is a high threat of further terrorist attacks in Thailand, including places that foreigners frequent. Among others, they advise that before heading overseas, you should get a comprehensive travel insurance and check what circumstances and activities are not covered by your policy. Also, make sure that there’s always someone who knows your whereabouts.

This travel advisory has been issued by the Australian government, but I don’t see why it shouldn’t apply to everyone else visiting the country. Most likely, your country has issued a similar advisory, too.
