Which explains the tons of Filipinos booking December flights back home, despite sky-high prices and fully booked seats. Here in Singapore, once they find out I'm Filipina, even cab drivers wax effusive about having experienced Christmas once or twice in Manila, Cebu, Davao or Bacolod. Wow. Christmas in the Philippines is really amazing; and we don’t fully appreciate it until we’ve spent Christmas somewhere else.
