Oasis Hong Kong Airlines To Launch in October 2006
There’s a new low-cost airline that will connect Europe and US to Hong Kong for a cheaper fare (or so they promise). Starting October 2006, Oasis Hong Kong Airlines will be operating flights between HK and London-Gatwick. In the succeeding months, the airline will also fly to and from Cologne/Bonn (Germany), Berlin, Milan, Oakland (San Francisco Bay area) and Chicago.
Will it really be cheaper?
You can expect year-round fares 30-50% lower than those currently offered by other airlines to the destinations we serve. And some of our promotional fares will be even lower! For example, one-way fares in Economy class start at £75 or HK$1,000 (excluding taxes and charges) and include warm meals and inflight entertainment.
And note that like your “normal” airlines, they also serve meals on board, and offer inflight entertainment, thank heavens! I cannot imagine flying for 13 or so hours without some amenities, at least!
Tickets can be boooked online starting next month. Meanwhile you can participate in their Be the First to Fly promo, and have a chance to win a free return HK-London Gatwick flight! Goodluck!
