8th Vertical Marathon at the Banyan Tree Spa, Bangkok
How fast can you run up a flight of stairs? This year’s Vertical Marathon will be up (literally) the Banyan Tree Spa, Bangkok, with the finish line up at the aptly called Vertigo restaurant on the 61st floor, one of the highest al-fresco restaurants in Asia.
Banyan Tree’s invitation (or challenge) reads:
Test the vertical limits on fitness and endurance with Banyan Tree Bangkok’s exhilarating marathon vacation for the athletically-inclined. Reach higher, faster, with this power run up to the pinnacle of Bangkok’s highest all-suite hotel. Take your best time score to brave new heights, before slowing the tempo with some after-hours spa care and a palette of gourmet delights.
The 8th Vertical Marathon will be on Sept 10, 2006. If you’re up to the challenge, take advantage of the hotel’s Vertical Marathon Package. Proceeds of the run will be be donated to the “HIV Formula Feeding Fund”, a Thai Red Cross initiative under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Soamsawali.
