Shanghai Scenes
When someone comes back from a trip, we eagerly listen to their stories. How white the beach was, how nice the hotel has been, how sumptuous the food was, and all the exciting little details. But, no matter how skilled the story-teller is, don’t we nevertheless look for photos, or even videos of the trip? Maybe it’s a natural instict, especially for travel enthusiasts, to see the place for themselves, if only on stills and videos.
And that’s why I love YouTube. If you look hard enough, you find gems of videoclips that, sometimes even without words, takes you to the place and let you see the place for yourself… in motion. You’ll have to weed out through so much trash, but if you’re lucky, you’ll find some that impart so much more than hundreds of words strung together.
