I’d Like To Go To…
It seems that, according to my little survey, the Far East is quite a popular dream destination.
Yupki, already in the heart of Southeast Asia in Bangkok, has already booked the ticket to… telenovela-land Seoul, Korea.
I’m looking forward to seeing the country that I have only seen so far in the movies I love to watch and the stories from Kaytee. I’m going to have authentic kimchi and kimbap, get drunk on soju and maybe, just maybe — if I have the guts — eat live octopus. I’d also be probably walking through Seoul with my mouth hanging open as I imagine it to be full of billboards of my favourite stars. Oh dear, I hope Kaytee does not kill me for acting like a true-blue Hallyu fan.
Heather of LivelyWomen wants to revisit Kyoto, this time with her children.
I’d LOVE to take my children to Kyoto, Japan. It’s the cultural heart of the Kansai region, and it’s one of the most beautiful cities on earth. There are gardens in every nook and cranny, and I can hear the sound of water just thinking about Kyoto. And of course Japanese food is so fabulous and healthy.
Same goes for Pinayhekmi. It seems that not oly the culture, but the Japanese cuisine is intriguing, too. Maricar would like to visit Japan just for the sushi! ;)
Other than the Philippines, JAPAN! Why? Because I love sushi! But I won’t go trying any live octopus. Seriously, Japan is so fascinating to me. Their culture, the gardens, the work ethic (yes! even that! They make such reliable products.), the tiny candies….
But of course, she, along with Grace, of FilipinaSoul, naturally want to visit the Philippines again. Grace says,
Seriously growing up in that wonder of a country and I haven’t exhausted the places to visit yet. Best diving spot is in Davao; THE Pearl Farm in Davao; El Nido is a paradise yet to be discovered. And, it’s where home is.
I’m with you, Grace. Oh and yes, Christina, if not Boracay, rated one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, the Philippine mangoes are reason enough to visit the islands!
Fellow travel bloggers Melissa and Mary Jo are aiming for the mainland, though. Mary Jo, of FlyAwayCafe would like to try the Russian Far East, close to the China border. In spring, she emphasizes. Melissa, wro writes EuropeString and Escape would like to re-visit China, this time exploring the cities outside of Beijing.
If you ask the BaldMan, though, it can be anywhere in Asia, he says.
And I guess, for most people, it is so. Asia is so far, so unknown, so unreal in a way, such that a lot of people don’t know enough to make a choice. Well, hang in there, that’s what this blog is for. Stay a few more weeks, and you just might find yoursef planning your trip to Asia for your next holiday!

If anyone wants to run away and LIVE in Thailand, I found a neat job offer at this group’s website (see the link above). SpaceShare, an online rideshare network with green ethics, is seeking a business partner to work outreach from Thailand. Just thought I’d throw that out there for anyone who’s interested.
