Travel To The Philippines Remains Safe and Secure
According to the Department of Tourism assures visitors that travel to the Philippines is still safe and secure:
Travel to the Philippines remains safe and secure. Primary tourist destinations in Metro Manila, Cebu, Bohol, Palawan, Boracay and the rest of the country are undisturbed.
As of Monday, 27 February 2006, business operations in the Philippines remain normal. The Philippine Department of Tourism, together with law enforcement agencies, continues to monitor all activities within the tourist destinations. No major cancellations of groups traveling to the islands have been reported.
Good, good. Hopefully by the time I get there, the state of emergency would have been completely lifted. Hopefully.
