Live Television Aboard China Airlines

Live Television Aboard China Airlines

We’re flying China Airlines on my upcoming trip to Manila and with a 3-year-old kid in tow, I’m already wracking my brains for means and ways to keep him busy and happy during the flight. Since the flight will depart Frankfurt in the morning, he’d be active and all revved up, so I’ll have to keep a bag of tricks to keep him occupied during almost 15-hour flight!
But if all else fail, it’s good to know that China Airlines is now providing live television service inflight. Accroding to their press release:
Passengers have the option of paying for a full sector, …read more

The Chinese believe that what happens during the New Year celebrations set precedent for the rest of the year. So pay special attention to cleanliness–personal and your environs– as well as things that bring or ward off good luck. All debts must be paid by this time, refrain …read more

Luxury Travel in Cambodia

Luxury Travel in Cambodia

While Cambodia certainly still tops as a destination for backpackers and no-frill travellers, those who are not ready to part with plush beds, and are used to drinking champagne while in bath and being driven around in chaffeured limousines (or even helicopters!) will not be disappointed. Oh yes, Cambodia can match your opulent lifestyle, if you can shell out the $400 a day to hire a BMW L7 or $1,375 an hour for a helicopter tour.
While backpackers still abound, Cambodia is now host to a different class of tourists, and has all the amenities to accommodate the high-maintenance crowd:

Asian Budget Airlines

Asian Budget Airlines

I myself am already getting confused with all the budget airlines in Asia. Apart from those operating in the Southeast Asia whose websites I frequent in search of good deals, I have to admit, I don’t know much about the other 20 or so other budget airlines operating in South and East Asia. Yes, in total, there are about 35 no-frill airlines flying the Asian skies (including the Middle East)! Amazing, isn’t it?
According to cheapflights.com:
It is the emerging low-fare markets that are fuelling demand most dramatically with discount airlines in Asia increasing capacity by 257 per cent and those in …read more
